So today I volunteered providing communications support for the MS Walk in Kalamazoo, and yes thats my peace of crap car there with its butt facing you. I just found this gem - the apartment in question is located less then 500 feet from where I sleep.
The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team found crack cocaine, powder cocaine and an AK47 assault rifle Monday during a raid of an apartment in Oshtemo Township, police said.
Police found 16 grams of crack cocaine, 56 grams of powder cocaine, the assault rifle and a loaded ammunition magazine after serving a search warrant at about 6 p.m. at Seville Apartments, located off South Drake Road, according to a KVET news release.
Two men, ages 17 and 18, who lived at the apartment, were arrested by police following the search, police said. Their names were not released.
Saturday evening I was talking to a good friend of mine, Linda - Shes been a second mother to me for a long time. I was telling her I was talking to a friend of mine who’s a firefighter about going into firefighting. Instantly she was concerned for my safety - to the point we spent a good five minutes conversing about her concerns.
I have been thinking about this since that moment - it’s been quite a while that I felt that someone showed concern for my safety that felt genuine. I miss it. Linda is going to going to China in about 40 days for the rest of her life and I’m really going to miss her.
So a friend of mine was having issues with his room-mate and I let him stay the night. Hes a smoker and he smokes out on my porch with the door shut, but my house smells like awful damn cigarette smoke now and it makes me want to puke.
In Michigan smoking is going to be banned from public restaurants and stuff and people are complaining about there right to smoke…. what about my right to breathe?
Well I went to my grandfathers for fathers day weekend. I had a good time talking with my uncle and hanging out with my grandma. I made a slide show from the Pictures I took at my Grandma’s Celebration of life. There’s about 208 pictures there, I’m still working on a way to get it so you can order prints, but I’m close to done on that. My grandpa believes that photography is my true calling - but I think he was trying to make me feel good.
I have to say though that I am never traveling with my mom again, I took a shower when I got back and I still smelled like a smoker. 5 in an hour and a half is a bit much for me to handle - plus her hatred of seat belts freaks me out.
